Two years ago, when I was at my parents’ in the village, I found my old diaries. I was surprised to see that the oldest one was written when I was 8. Two weeks later I went to Penza , 700km from Moscow. Provincial Russia looks like Poland twenty years ago. I felt as if I was back in the scenery of my childhood. By accident I got to a cadet school. Having found the diary and visiting the school brought back my childhood memories and I decided to make a film about it.
