Burned Out (0+)

Poland, 2008, colour, 25 min.
Director: Anna Wieckowska
People living in a secluded mining place have their reasons to insist on staying in such a harsh reality. From this perspective, the modern civilization and big cities do not look attractive. The simple, uncomplicated existence seems to be much more reliable source of happiness and self-fulfillment, at least for the main character – an educated and well-read man in his 50-ties, with intellectual aspirations.
