Umyot is the word for an inn or a steading in steppe and also a name for a little Mordovian village in 450 km from Moscow. From thousands villages like this Umyot is different by more than 500 bars and cantinas open near it, spreading along the track for 3 km. The owners of each place are women having their own fate, happiness, grieve and their own Umyot.

Dmitry Tikhomirov

was born in Moscow, worked for “Kommersant” magazine, “MK” and other media for a long time. Then he graduated from VGIK (screenwriters faculty) and started filming independent documentaries.
