This film is about people for whom "freedom" is not just a word. For almost 150 years they leave for the wilderness of taiga to the feet of the cliffs and bravely conquer the tops of the "Stolby" natural reservation. Stolbists they call themselves – they are free people of a free country, and they are professors, alpinists, kids, bards and many others.

Alexander Kuznetsov’s work as a photographer was published in many magazines and exhibited in Russia (Russian Museum Of Saint Petersburg), Norway, France, the U.S.A. and Germany. He directed his first documentary in 2010. “Territory of Love” was screened in France, at Lussas’ “Etats Généraux du Documentaire” and at the Honfleur Russian Cinema Festival, as well as in Russia (Artdocfest Festival, Moscow). In 2014, he finished his second movie, Territory of Freedom.
