Rare generation may witness entire process of formation, blossom and dying of any movement in art. So-called Sots Art is a rare example of such movements. According to Western expert social art is the most significant contribution of Soviet fine arts into the world art of the second half of the XX century. The most known artists of that movement Vitaliy Komar, Aleksandr Kosolapov, Leonid Sokov, Boris Orlov, Rostislav Lebedev and Mikhail Roshal talk about destiny of the movement. Their story is accompanied by newsreel of political and artistic life of 70s-90s.

Boris Karadzhev

Boris Karadzhev

was born in Perm. He graduated from Perm State University and VGIK. He started his professional carrier at Perm television studio. During many years he collabprated as an author and director with various Film Studios and TV companies, took part in creation of over 60 films, as well as in a number of international projects. Between 2001-2006 he was the editor-in-chief of Russian Central Studio of Documentary Films (RCSDF). From 2002 he is a teacher at the documentary film directing class at VGIK.
