born on 1959 in Essen; studied theater, film and television at the University of Cologne. Co-founder of the international women’s film festival «Feminale» in Cologne. Five-year term as editor for culture for the «Stadtrevue» Cologne monthly magazine; 1995-2000, author and director for radio and television. Since 2000 films in own production.
