Welcome to New York is an experiment of inverted ethnography – from South to North - in which the Chilean directors show their irreverent and sarcastic vision of the "Capital of the World". Tragedy and comedy alternate in strong contrasts while the camera goes in its journey across the city, all within the frame of the 2004 Presidential Campaign.
Bettina Perut
Bettina Perut
was born in Rome, Italy, in 1970. She studied Journalism at Universidad Gabriela Mistral, Santiago de Chile. Between 1996-1997 she worked as Assistant Director of the documentary series Visiones, aired by Universidad Católica de Chile Televisión.

Iván Osnovikoff
Iván Osnovikoff
was born in Puerto Montt, Chile, in 1966. He studied Anthropology at Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia. Between 1996-1998 he worked as Assistant Screenwriter for the Chilean film director Silvio Caiozzi.
