Blockade (0+)

Russia, 2005, b/w, 50 min.
Director: Serguey Loznitsa
The film consists of not shown before news-reel. The quieter behavior of people on the screen is even during bombing, fire and winter frosts in the presence of inevitable death, the more terrible is impression of existential tragedy experienced by them during the blockade. The war as such is somewhere there, outside this world limits, but ‘here and now’ it is scarier and more absurd as it penetrates as a plague. A borderline between existence and non-existence.

AWARDS
