This is a true story taking place at the old building of Perm ballet school in mid-90s. The Peoples' Actress Lydmila Sakharova and the School's graduate Natalia Balakhnicheva (now a prime Kremlin ballet dancer) just work every day. Although the film is centered around ballet, it tells us about something else, about the collision of two characters. Every day the senior leads the junior to perfection sparing vanity and dignity of the latter. Every day the junior does her best to become Ballet Dancer without losing her personality.

Efim Reznikov

Efim Reznikov

was born in 1957. He graduated from the cameramen department of the All-Russia State Institute of Cinematography (1979). Working on the Gorky film studio he shot more than 10 films as a cameraman. In 1990 he was called the best cameraman on the European film festival Felix. 1992 was the year of his debut as a film director - his first film was Dancing Phantoms.
