Miss Kiet’s Children will tell you about a dream teacher

In the framework of IDFF “Flahertiana” Miss Kiet's Children Special Screening (Netherlands, 2016) will be given. This documentary film tells a story of Miss Kiet – a dream teacher, intelligent, strict and attentive.

Children of migrants – Miss Kiet’s students – are learning a new language. The process of their adaptation is often difficult, but all kinds of situations they get in happen to be both funny and sad. As a result, the film will carry away anyone, but especially interesting it'll be for those who teach and those who study.  “Flahertiana’s” special screening will be Russian premiere.

The film is made by spouses Petra Lataster-Czisch and Peter Lataster – a well-known Dutch documentary filmmaker, living classics of modern documentary cinema. Many of their documentaries and shorts were awarded, and in 2012, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam promoted Peter and Petra with a retrospective. Latasters will appear in person in Perm to present the “Miss Kiet’s Children” and to discuss the film with the audience of “Flahertiana”.

More detailed program of the XVII International Documentary Films Festival “Flahertiana”  will be released on flahertiana.ru.

The screening is held under the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Russia.
