The International Training and Pitching Flahertiana Forum 2018 extends the deadline for entries. The new deadline is on July 29th. Now you have two more weeks to enter your project.

The main objective of the Forum is to promote documentary films at an early stage of development to the international film market. To do so the two events are arranged.

The training for beginning filmmakers, aimed at helping participants to pitch their project to potential co-producers, takes place from 15 until 17 September. Students will take part in a trailer and public speaking workshops, find out more about the main principles of digital distribution and fair coproduction.

After the training, from 18 to 20 September, the pitching will take place. During the pitching experienced filmmakers and the training participants with the most interesting ideas will present their projects to potential coproduces and TV commissioning editors from Russia and Western Europe. We are ready to disclose some of them.

Here are the experts and tutors who will teach students and evaluate projects during the pitching: Cay Wesnigk (Germany), film director and producer; Frank Müller (Germany), film director, producer and editor; Rebecca Houzel (France), filmmaker and producer; Christophe Postic (France) co-artistic director of the Estates General du film documentaire of Lussas, teacher of the writing workshops at EurasiaDoc; Anton Mazurov (Russia), art film curator, film critic, film distributor, teacher at Moscow branch of the New York Film Academy; Elena Molochkova (Russia), editor of the Documentary Film Office of the Channel One.
