This year, Flahertiana traditionally gathers three jury crews who will access the international, national and student competitions — the names of 11 directors, producers and other experts have already been determined.

The jury of the international — main — competition of Flahertiana will decide which of the directors will receive the Grand Prix for the best film "The Big Golden Nanook" and the money prize of 250 thousand rubles. They will also choose two owners of the "Silver Nanooks" — for the Discovery of New Subjects and New Heroes and for the Original Artistic Solution.

The International Jury President will be an American director Michael Collins whose film "Give Up Tomorrow" was nominated for the Emmy Award. The other jury members are experts from different countries: the Finnish producer Pertti Vejalainen, the Armenian documentarist Armen Khachatryan, the Russian filmmaker, the member of the NIKA Academy Aleksei Vakhrushev, as well as the philologist, the member of the Russian Booker Prize committee, the organizer of the “SlovoNova" poetic festival Marina Abasheva.

The National Competition Jury will choose the winner of the "Russian Flahertiana" which will receive the “Small Golden Nanook” and a money prize of 25 thousand rubles. This year the National Competition is evaluated by the nominee for the Laurel and Teffi awards, filmmaker Elena Laskari, who has repeatedly participated in Flahertiana’s competitions, and a writer and journalist Lyubov Sokolova. The National Jury will be headed by the president of the Russian Documentary Guild, producer and cameraman Viktor Skubei.

Who will become the owner of the main prize of the Student Competition and the award of 20 thousand rubles, will be decided by the chief editor of the debut film department of the Alexander Sokurov Foundation Vsevolod Voronov and the journalist of “Echo of Moscow in Perm” radio station Anna Bukatova. The President of the National Jury will be the filmmaker Vladimir Golovnev.
