PROBLEMS OF TEENAGE BLOGGERS AND ATTEMPTS TO REALIZE A DREAM. FLAHERTIANA FAMILY PROGRAM

The International Documentary Film Festival Flahertiana will hold special screenings of the "Flahertiana Family" program on September 16th and 17th. These are films that parents can watch together with teenagers and discuss the issues that their peers face.

The program includes two films from Switzerland and Israel. "Girl Gang" is a film about 14-year-old Leonie, who has become a blogger with millions of followers and contracts with giants like McDonald's. Her parents, realizing the economic potential of their daughter's blogging, are involved in her career, shootings, and advertising. What is it like to be a full-time teenage blogger at 14 and not only deal with fans but also haters? "Girl Gang" is a tragicomedy about our time and our future.

The director of the film, Susanne Regina Meures, is known for the film "Raving Iran," which was a festival and box office success. The new film has already been nominated for the European Film Academy Award for Best Documentary and was shown in Russia at the Beat Film Festival.

The second film in the program is "The Pianist from Ramallah". Director Avida Livny filmed Muhammad Alsheikh, a talented teenage pianist from Ramallah and the son of a Palestinian father and a Russian mother, for four years. Muhammad's journey from home to his piano lessons takes 3 hours, but his dream knows no bounds. Torn between border crossings, auditions, and his father's wish to see him as a doctor, Muhammad tries to realize his dream of becoming a professional pianist. Will he be able to achieve it and remain happy at the same time?
