Zuzia is 12, she has been training vaulting for two years and has an extraordinary role topping the acrobatic pyramid. She is “flyer” lifted by the stronger and more experienced vaulters-“base”. Another intensive season begins. During training sessions, it becomes apparent that the girl has lost some of her grace and lightness. At first, the coach blames the “base” but they admit that Zuzia is too big to lift her. It became clear that she is “just growing” and her role is given over to a younger girl.

Monika Kotecka
is a cinematographer and photogra- pher. Graduated from National Film School in Lodz at the Cinematography Department. She conducts film workshops for kids in Poland and abroad. In 2011, she was nominated to Warto Award in the category of film.

Karolina Poryzala
Karolina Poryzala
is a photographer and screenwriter. She completed Film Directing Program at the Stadium for Audiovisual Arts, studied at the Photography Department in the National Film School in Lodz and finished a scriptwriting course at the Krakow Scriptwriting School. Since 2012, Monika and Karolina work together under Kurkot Kollektiv focusing on photo shoots, fashion movies and music videos.
