In October 2015 there were destructive clashes within and at the borders of Turkey; society was being dangerously polarized. In the midst of all this, numerous democratic institutions organized the Peace and Democracy Rally. 2 explosions took place at 10:04 where groups had gathered. 101 people died and more than 500 were injured. ISIS claimed responsibility for the deadliest attack in the history of Turkey. “Ah” is a close up to the moment of explosion and after through the feelings, thoughts, senses of 25 survivors who were in the core of that brutal violence action, wounded and lost their relatives.

Mustafa Ünlü

Mustafa Ünlü

was born in 1963 in Ankara. He graduated from the Ankara University, Faculty of Communi- cations. After he experienced journalism in various magazines and newspapers, worked respectively at Turkish Radio and Television news department and the 32nd Day, Turkey’s flagship international news program. He started documentary film making in 1989 and mainly focused on social and political ones. He worked as the director of International 1001 Documentary Film Festival between 2018–2013. He also gives documentary, directing and camera lectures in universities and film schools. Currently, he is a partner of the Kutup Ayisi Documentary Productions Company established in 2001, member of EDN and chairman of the Association of Documentary Filmmakers Board in Turkey.
