Tatyana Seminyako learned the language of forest and the philosophy of hunting before she learned how to read and write. From time immemorial, the ancestors of Tatyana and her husband lived on these lands fishing and hunting. When Tanya was very young, she was raised by her grandparents -– the Khanty. They taught her everything. After all, in the forest you do everything yourself. You eat what you caught; you wear what you sewed; you live in what you built. A documentary film about the life of Tanya and her family.

Aleksandr Avilov
was born in Leningrad in 1972. He graduated from the faculty of directing and production of St. Petersburg State University of Cinematography (1997). Since 1993, he worked as an assistant cameraman and assistant director at the St. Petersburg Documentary Film Studio. Since 1998, he has been working as a director on the central all-Russian channels. He has filmed more than a hundred documentaries and television programs.
