A young paramedic Konstantin Kolpakov is sent to the village of Novenkoye (Altai Krai) following the state program “Zemsky Paramedic”. Work is hard, sometimes even impossible – not enough medicines, no necessary medical equipment. However, despite this, the young paramedic stays to not only treat people, but also to try to bring the gradually dying village back to life.

Sergei Lukyanchenko
was born in the village of Zhukovskoe, Rostov Region, in 1994. He graduated from the Rostov Basic Medical College as the Emergency Medical Assistant (2016). In 2022, he graduated from the workshop of Alexander Sokurov at the St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television. Documentary film “The Good Doctor” is his diploma work.
