In the same way as the legendary film of Jacques Demy “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg”, the film “Tears” mixes theatrical and real worlds together. The theatrical play that was performed by its authors in Montevideo and Paris turned into documentary investigation the absurd obstinacy of which reveals the origins of the sweetest dances and songs in the world-famous musical.
