С. Cay Wesnigk

Director, producer, CEO of ONLINEFILM AG, board member of The German Documentary Association (AGDOK), European Documentary Network (EDN)

studied visual communication at the University of Arts in Hamburg.  1987 he founded the C. Cay Wesnigk Filmproduktion. Since then he has written, directed and produced several feature length and short films. 

In 2000, 122  producers, directors and authors mostly members of the association of German documentary filmmakers AGDOK (www.agdok.de) founded the OnlineFILM AG to make best use of digital technologies for the distribution of films. Wesnigk has worked as CEO of OnlineFILM AG since then. Today more then 2.500 European films can be legally purchase via www.onlinefilm.org as stream to rent or download to own.

Wesnigk is currently also on the board of AGDOK,  the European documentary Network (www.edn.dk) and chairman of the board of VG Bild-Kunst (www.bild-kunst.de), the  German collecting agency for creative Artists and Producers of films.
