The International Training and Pitching Flahertiana Forum will be held as part of the festival from September 15 to 19. The main objective of the Forum is to present documentary films in an early stage to potential producers interested in cooperation with documentary filmmakers from Russia and countries of the Eastern Partnership

Flahertiana Forum starts with training for film students and beginning filmmakers (September 15-17). The idea of the training is to teach beginning filmmakers to pitch their projects to potential producers. Participants of the training, which are to be defined by selection, will have an opportunity to visit lectures of the IDFF Flahertiana International Jury Members, to watch documentaries from all over the world screened at the Festival venues and to get recommendations of experienced producers on their projects presentation.

Authors of the best projects will take part in the pitching, September 18-19. Pitching is a public presentation of a film project to potential producers interested in cooperation with documentary filmmakers.

Experienced filmmakers selected based on their entries will present their projects on September 18. Training participants whose projects are selected after the training will pitch on September 19.

We are calling for entries of documentary filmmakers from Russia and the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). You may find the Regulations of Flahertiana Forum Pitching and Training here. Entries are accepted until July 15, 2018.
